W artykule dokonano analizy właściwości ukraińsko-polskiej współpracy transgranicznej, która jest realizowana w ramach współpracy między regionami przygranicznymi sąsiadujących ze sobą państw i przejawia się w różnych formach. Przeanalizowano wpływ współpracy transgranicznej na funkcjonowanie ukraińsko-polskiej granicy państwowej, w szczególności wzmacnianie jej funkcji kontaktowej i międzynarodowej. The main goal of cooperation of European border areas is to ensure the sustainable development, to reduce the negative effects of borders as administrative, legal and natural barriers, and to better use the untapped potential. Human capital is a component of one of the dimensions of sustainable development. Due to the undeniable link between them the aim of this paper is to show the human capital dimension of sustainable development concept in the case of two cross-borderly cooperating regions in Czech Republic and Poland: Moravian-Silesian and Opole.
